I'm new to IF in general and was interested from its description in a Mathbrush list. And I haven't played much IF so this is probably unfair, but god this is just top-to-bottom in concept and execution one of the most exciting and thought-out IF games I've ever played.
Has a great and immediately interesting premise, not only allows but REQUIRES the player to figure things out by making the wrong moves (removing most of the shame and frustration I get playing other games), is funny without sacrificing sincerity (Nick and Ines are wonderfully written), and most important (to me) has that sense of exploration and excitement in mentally mapping out a world and being able to type whatever you can think of that drew me to text parser games in the first place. Also, it's somehow more respectful of women than the other famous one-turn text parser game, Aisle, and that game's focal point is on one woman (Sorry, but it's true. I think Barlow had a weird thing with dehumanizing women, although he definitely got better with avoiding that over time).
Anyways, you know it's good when it makes me want to deride other IF games for basically no reason. I loved this so much. Take some time out of an afternoon or night and play it if you haven't!!
