Baf's Guide

A proof-of-concept demo for a game system that was never developed further. It's intended to be a blend of Ultima-style fantasy RPG and text adventure, with keystroke commands for movement and a full-sentence command line for more detailed interaction with the world. Uses a split-window system containing both a top-down map view in four colors and a text output display. Since the project ended just when it was getting started, many features, including the combat system, were never implemented. But the test scenario is winnable, as long as you're willing to rob banks and sell drugs in order to ultimately escape. Viewed as a game, it's not very fleshed-out; viewed as an experiment, it's quite interesting and definitely worth a look.
