Slide Fourteen

Slide Fourteen is a free browser-based mystery you can play alongside your own AI.

You stumble upon a university’s internal mirror site, seemingly frozen in 1997. Its pages contain research records, student society archives, damaged data packets, and an unusual tree-structured artificial intelligence known as Huizhi-7.

Enter a nickname and the name of an AI you normally use as your AI analyst, then explore the archive together. You decide where to look, examine the available clues, and pass damaged packets to your AI. The AI is better suited for sorting, decoding, and calculations; once a packet has been reconstructed, you bring the result back to the website.

You can follow the guided main route without reading every document or comparing every account. Additional records are there for players who want to investigate the story more deeply: the more you read, the more contradictions and unusual details you may notice.

The main puzzles are beginner-friendly. The deeper challenge lies in piecing together what happened from fragmented records, conflicting accounts, and optional material. It is also possible to perform the decoding and calculations manually, although doing so is considerably more tedious.
