It is the year 906, a time when kings and their knights ruled the lands. Struggle for control of Europe has fallen between two mighty kingdoms. (how quaint)
On a previous journey your king and his royal guard were ambushed by a band of Darknight thugs. One of the guards escaped, however. As he reports, you learn from a scout that king was last seen being taken to Darknight.
Being the responsible young prince that you are, you decide a rescue is in order. This is an expectionally good time, as well, for the mystical orb, the source of your power, must also be retrieved.
Minimalist. A good old-fashioned Scott-Adams-style adventure set in a castle. Your goal is to rescue a kidnapped king, but the game is basically plotless, in a way that I found strangely refreshing. Pretty large for its style, with oodles of one-use items, as if the author decided to go for scale rather than detail. Parser doesn't recognize some common adventure words - for example, you have to say "take" instead of "get", which annoyed me slightly.
