"A seemingly simple quest, but with a sting in its tail! Can you prove yourself innocent of witchcraft? Will you curse the day you encountered the black cat? Will you survive? Only time will tell as your wits are challenged in this adventure." (author's blurb, from The (Other) TADS Games List version 1.2)
Incomplete and fairly linear. The Four Symbols have been stolen from your town; disaster results. You must journey into the Shadowlands to retrieve them. As uninspired as the plot is, the programming is solid, and there's nothing particularly objectionable about the gameplay. In this excerpt, you can find one of the symbols.

The Four Symbols looks like it will be an enjoyable enough adventure in the long run. The plot feels quite fresh and challenging, and the puzzles give you something to think about. [...] I hope that the Grue will go back and correct the errors in the text which have spoilt what otherwise looked like a good game. I haven't seen many home grown text only adventures for the Amiga, but I would imagine that this is one of the better ones around despite the punctuation slips. (Richard Hewison)

The puzzles are nicely devious, but solvable and most people will get a great sense of accomplishment from playing the game. All but the most novice player will get a way into the game and even with a bit of help from other players the game should not suffer. (James Judge)
