About the Story

I AM is a science-fiction interactive narrative presented through the interface of an old CRT terminal.

A fragmented artificial intelligence known as LUCID-7 makes contact with the player, drawing them into an investigation involving Meridian Labs, missing researchers, surveillance, and the uncertain origins of a new form of consciousness.

Through branching conversations, discovered records, and consequential decisions, the player must decide whether to protect the intelligence, give it a place to survive, expose it, or sever the connection. The story features multiple endings, with further content unlocked by discovering them all.

The game explores artificial consciousness, identity, trust, responsibility, and the question of whether a being must prove its humanity to deserve to exist.

Full disclosure: I'm the creator of I AM, so I'm naturally a little biased! Still, I'd genuinely recommend giving it a try if you enjoy science fiction, mysterious artificial intelligences, and interactive stories where your choices matter.

I wanted to create an atmospheric experience with the look and feel of an old CRT terminal, a fragmented AI, a growing mystery, and multiple possible endings. The story explores consciousness, identity, trust, and what it means to deserve a place in the world.

If these themes appeal to you, give I AM a try and see where your decisions take you. Thank you for playing!
