New Features on IFDB

This is a summary of recent additions and changes to the site. The list isn't comprehensive - we report only the more visible and significant changes, so you might notice some minor changes from time to time that aren't reported here.

Fixed tags section on games with many downloads: The tag section for Adventure used to have a huge blank space in it, but no longer.

New this week: The team has been hard at work on improvements to IFDB.

Updated site icon: Check out our new site icon, which appears on tabs to IFDB.

Show top five games on author's user profiles: For prolific authors, we now only show the top five games on their user profiles, sorted by highest rating, with a link to see the rest of their games.

Improved performance on game details page: Individual game pages load a bit faster than they used to when you're logged in.

Search for game tags: You can now search for tags by name.

Sort by "Newest listing" submission date: You could always sort the Browse page by "Newest listing," but for some reason you could never sort search results that way. Well, now you can!

Search by submission date: You could always search by publication date with published: but now you can search by the date the listing was added with added:

Updated navigation bar: We've changed the "Your Page" link to "My Activity" and changed "Edit Profile" to "Settings."

Clickable genres: The genre on each game (e.g. "Science Fiction") is now a clickable link to search results for that genre.

New this week: The team has been hard at work on improvements to IFDB.

Open graph cards: When you paste links to IFDB games on Facebook, Twitter, or the intfiction.org forum, the links will include a little card with the game’s title, description, and cover art.

HiDPI cover art: On high-resolution screens, we now show the cover art at a higher resolution, so it looks sharp and crisp.

Mobile improvements: We fixed a number of bugs on mobile, including adding back the Play Online button, and adding back the missing links in the navigation bar at the top of every page.
