I've recently asked for good games from the last years and this was recommended both in the original and the german translation. (I played the original.)
I loved everything about this. The writing is excellent and complemted by the interactions you're allowed or disallowed to do. The puzzles, while easy, complement the story and the pacing. I also liked the subtle, newbie friendly hints and the extensive author's note.
