1. Lethe Flow Phoenix, by Dan Shiovitz (1995)
Average member rating: (2 ratings)
David Welbourn says:

You play as a camper who is awoken by something at midnight on All Hallows' Eve. Investigating, you absentmindedly step off a cliff. In mid-air, before you black out, you are rescued by a presence with wings. Then you wake up in a pleasant grassy field on a sunny day. So... ah... what's going on?

2. Babel
by Ian Finley
(1997)
Average member rating: (151 ratings)

David Welbourn says:

In this game, you play as an amnesiac inside Babel, an abandoned Arctic facility devoted to biological research. You soon discover that you have the unusual ability to witness scenes from the past by touching various glowing items. But can you discover who you are, what happened to the station, and then how to escape from Babel?

3. Dawn of the Demon, by Paul Drallos (2005)
Average member rating: (2 ratings)
David Welbourn says:

This game takes place in the world of Zork, in and near the twin towns of Pheebor and Borphee, but hundreds of years before the events of the Zork series. You play as a young adventurer who plans to find the treasure of the Demon reputed to be hidden somewhere in the nearby woods.

4. Cacophony, by Owen Parish (2009)
Average member rating: (3 ratings)
David Welbourn says:

In this very surreal game, it's not at all clear who or where you are. You feel incomplete and the world seems unreal and mutable. Eventually, you will learn of a mission to complete. But will you carry out your orders or try to escape this situation entirely?

5. Ramon and Jonathan, by Daniele A. Gewurz (2002)
Average member rating: (5 ratings)
David Welbourn says:

This small story takes place on space station Tithonus. The main tribunal has just read its verdict: Ramón and Jonathan, also known as the People's Friends, the hangmen who killed so many people, are formally condemned, but they will also go unpunished. The trial audience is angry, but only your friend, Iliana of the "Justice Now" movement, is equipped to do anything about it.

6. The Lone Star Menáçe, by Ricardo Signes (2003)
Average member rating: (2 ratings)
David Welbourn says:

In this game, you play as a handsome clownfish wearing a Man Suit, high above L'Austin in a hot air balloon. You're on an espionage mission. Your objectives are: survive freefall, locate the embassy, obtain evidence of Franco-Texan plans, and escape alive.

7. Paparazzi, by EV (2004)
Average member rating: (3 ratings)
David Welbourn says:

To quote this tiny game:

You belong to the paparazzi that hunt royal celebrities. Your employer wants you to take dubious snapshots of young princesses, and to find out when and whom they will marry. You haven't been successful in this, not yet.
