Keyword Parsers

Recommendations by ImaginaryTalkingRabbit

[LIST IS A WORK IN PROGRESS]

Parser games that use keyword input, for example a game where only the words in bold are usable commands.

This often means eschewing the standard 'x cat' or 'get banana' style of gameplay. So instead of typing 'x cat' you just type 'cat' (if 'cat' is one of the keywords, anyway).

Usually removes the nuisance of guessing the verb, sometimes (but not always) at the expense of game difficulty.

This list is not based on game quality - though a few are indeed very good - it simply groups together games in the same style.

The keywords in this case are conversation topics, shown in square brackets i.e What's your business? [Trade] or [worship]?
Not all topics are listed straight away, the aim is to unlock more as you progress through the story.

Keywords are in ALL CAPS. Brief and puzzle-less, more of a story than a game.

5. The Space Under the Window

Unlike many of the other games in this list, the keywords aren't highlighted - you have to find them yourself.
