I grew up in the 70's and 80's with Apple products like the Apple II e and the Apple IIG. We loved the Windham Classics games Alice in Wonderland and Below the Root. At the library, we played Pong and Brick-out with our half-hour allotted time and then checked out Lloyd Alexander's Prydain Chronicles. I remember playing the IF Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy at a friend's house and both loathing and loving the sarcastic dead-pan responses. Yay for Interactive Fiction!, where you can do stuff.
