I was writing IF game experiments in BASIC soon after playing my first text adventures, when I was 10 or 11 years old. It is a medium that I have simply been drawn to wanting to do, a craft I wanted to master. What I didn't realize was how great the people were who also feel the same way.
The IF community, which I discovered and joined in 1996, has become a rich source of friendship, ideas, laughter, and camaraderie. It was someplace I fit right into, like we were picking up from where we left off before.
It's now 2015, and I'm still engaged.
