I have a long background in experimental fiction and computer-enabled literature. Since the late 1990s I've been lead author of TriadCity, a text-based RPG in the MUD tradition which takes itself seriously as literature. The company I co-founded to produce TriadCity, SmartMonsters, is a complete trainwreck as a business venture; but TriadCity is a success as technology and as fiction. For example, TriadCity is sited in The Cambridge Companion to Postmodernism as their culminating example of postmodernist literature. We'll take it.
