This is an amazing and expansive game, and there are more than the 18 endings listed on the walkthrough
This game well deserves its evergreen spot as #1 on the list of best IF of all time.
This is not a game it is a work of art. It was panned critically when it came out because it did not fit the mold of crude plunder, puzzles, knights and barbarians etc. that was the meta in IF at the time. Those games are easily outmatched by modern video games with their graphics but Emily Short really understands how to harness the medium of interactive TEXT to the fullest extent.
