The Black Death

by John Nelson

Episode 20 of Eamon
RPG
1981

About the Story

Lately you have watched your friends get sick and shake with fever, some of them dying before your helpless eyes. All the doctors who were trying to help are now dying. Everyone has given up hope, saying there is nothing that can be done, but you feel that you must try.

A mad doctor claims to have found a cure for the plague which now enshrouds the land. The cure of course will be expensive. In fact, the mad doctor wants one billion gold pieces! If he does not get it, he will allow the entire kingdom to die.

You decide you must seek the serum, in spite of the fact that you have heard that the mad doctor's castle is very well defended, and 'liberate' it from him.

And so you sneak up to the mad doctor's castle in the darkness...

This adventure is part of the Eamon universe. Like all Eamon adventures, it is an RPG-style game, mostly using a two-word parser. Because Eamon is a modular system, you may bring a character and equipment from other adventures into this one.
