Pathetic Hideout of Mr. R.

by Nate Segerlind

Episode 157 of Eamon
RPG
1988

Web Site

About the Story

"The dwarf takes you on the north road to the Really-Big-and-Scary Forest, where Roessler's outpost is suspected to be. He takes you within sight of a small shack and leaves you there as he heads back for the Main Hall. The last thing he said to you was 'Good luck!'"

This adventure is part of the Eamon universe. Like all Eamon adventures, it is an RPG-style game, mostly using a two-word parser. Because Eamon is a modular system, you may bring a character and equipment from other adventures into this one.

EamonAG

This is another of Nate's early juvenile works. It has lots of general silliness, out-of-narrative descriptions, and in-jokes relating to his high school. In general, it is an example of the kind of lightweight Eamon typical of those written by young boys. Yet this is in many ways a sophisticated Eamon and there are flashes of the brilliance that Nate gradually developed and finally demonstrated in "Kretons".
