Moonglow

by Dave Bernazzani profile

Episode 1 of Miniventures
Science Fiction
2004

About the Story

A spacecraft has landed in the corn fields nearby. You're the only one around to make contact.

Moonglow was written to see what could be done with a 10K (10240 byte) Z-Machine file. It uses a custom library called MinForm which reduces the parser down to the bare essentials. The idea was to see how much game could be packed into so little space - simulating the constraints the pioneering authors of IF had in the earliest days.

SPAG
Bernazzani Hits the Mark
Moonglow, like Catseye, is a 10k adventure, but it feels more polished
due to its more robust parser.
